Windows Livve Spaces

I've been hard at work updating my Windows live Space. I've changed the theme, updated the blog, music list, added two more lists, blogs and sites, photo's, and profile. take a look.

The only problem I have with it the the image support in the blog if you upload photo to the blog entry they are just added to the end of the post. I have told Microsoft about this and hopefully it will be added soon.

Internet Pornography Stats

Check out this video from Good Magazine that shows a number of stats about the Internet pornography industry, in an “almost” not safe for work format. It is staggering how much actual money flows through porn and how many people are involved in the industry:

  • 89% of porn is created in the U.S.
  • $2.84 billion in revenue was generated from U.S. porn sites in 2006
  • $89/second is spent on porn
  • 72% of porn viewers are men
  • 260 new porn sites go online daily

YouTube to Offer Cash Payouts

YouTube's spreading its cash to top contributors, and there's plenty to go round.

Lonelygirl15, LisaNova, HappySlip, renetto, Smosh, and Valsartdiary – the names trip off the tongue. The A-List of YouTube.

But now they're to be rewarded for all their hard uploading work. The ubiquitous video-sharing site, has announced that it's to share out its lolly to the top contributors that make the site what it is.

No word yet on whether the bounty will be bestowed on us more casual uploaders but co-founder, Chad Hurley, did state in January that revenue sharing with users was on the cards. I'm firing up the camcorder as I speak...

Commonly Used Passwords

Ever forgot a password and wanted to do this.

Wow he should try a password you can't forget.

PC mag has published the top ten most commonly used passwords. But how did "blink182" get to number 9 and "monkey" get to number 6. The usual "password", "123456" and "qwerty" are also in the list.

What I'm Looking Forward to

I'm really looking forward to joost and the BBC iPlayer both coming later this year.

Joost

BBC iPlayer

earlier this year the BBC trailed and on-demand TV service, IMP (Integrated Media Player), and now the BBC Trust has give it the ok. The on-demand service will bring BBC TV shows from the past 7 days to UK based Windows PC and soon after Mac's, cable TV services and eventually Freeview boxes. Once you've downloaded a show it will stay on your hard drive for 30 days for you to watch as many times as you like. More information on News.com and BBC News.
